After graduating from art school in Venice and Milan, he moved to New York City to work as an illustrator and graphic designer. Throughout his career he has been alternating his work as an art director with painting and illustration. His design work has appeared in various publications, and his paintings have been shown both in Europe and the US. He is also the author of "Senza Titolo", a novel about contemporary art, published in Italy by Robin Edizioni (2013). Artist Statement: This collection of recent oil paintings is an exploration of surface. It is a catalogue of elements presented in a metaphysical dimension. In free fall, abandoned or suspended, the subjects create almost illegible compositions. Emptied of their original purpose, they tend towards abstraction. The narrative aspect in some of the works relates to concepts of disappearance and abandonment. References to the classical Masters are evident, but the original subjects have all but vanished, leaving behind an empty shell of accessories in which the living element is no longer part of the conversation.
