He first learned to weld as a child working in an auto mechanic's shop in his native El Salvador. Pedro makes metal sculpture, furniture and lighting. His sculptures are interpretations of organic forms in metal. He has made public and private commissions in NYC and shown in many public art exhibits. Artist Statement: I make functional and artistic works to improve my own environment and to engage with the world.
