She has drawn from textile, plastic and ceramic craftsmanship for her signature hybrid medium, felted concrete. Her research driven work explores themes of romantic brutalism. The ergonomic scale and domestic setting for her work invites aesthetics of femininity into the deconstructed, abstract forms. Originally from The Outer Banks of North Carolina, a strong interest in the natural environment motivated her to pursue material research within the context of industrial design.
