Marci has been working in the Children's Publishing industry for over twenty years and is currently the Art Director for Disney???Hyperion. Marci recently graduated from the University of Hartford with an MFA in Illustration. Her illustrations have appeared in 3 X 3 Magazine, Creative Quarterly, Uppercase and was on the shortlist for Communication Arts. Artist Statement: Marci Senders' narrative art stretches the imagination to create charming new worlds with loving monsters and precocious characters. She uses ink swashes and heavy brush strokes to allow her characters to come to life. Her artwork is simple, playful, smart and conceptual. The stories Marci tells through her art have a magical quality with a lot of emotion yet simple enough to be attainable.
