In 2012 He studied at Camera Obscura, the School of Photography. He continued his professional education through higher studies in Fine Arts at Hamidrasha Faculty of Arts; he graduated with Summa Cum Laude Diploma In 2017. At the end of his studies, he was awarded the 'Shlomo Vitkin Scholarship and completed his studies at the Hamidrasha Faculty of Arts. Ben Avi showed his works in group and solo exhibitions in Israel and the US. Ben Avi Is a former member of a collective P8 gallery in Tel Aviv. Since January 2020, he lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. Artist Statement: I explore the city's entrances, outskirts, and edges, margins. I wander day and night, becoming a permanent nomad finding refuge in these spaces. My work examines the significance of nature photography in our modern age, shaped by human behavior and territoriality. I work exclusively with analog and chemical procedures, using medium format cameras, various films, and development techniques.
