She has exhibited throughout the northeast region of the United States, including NYC galleries and in Europe. In her work, Rebecca uses geometric patterns and colors of the landscape complimented by complex shapes and textures of nature. At the open studios she will be showing a selection of recent oil and watercolor paintings and drawings from her "Into the Forest" and "Cityscape" series. Artist Statement: Her recent works explore both forested and waterfront landscapes, focusing on elements of the natural world within an urban environment. These works seek to evoke a sense of quiet and serenity, and capture the intimate experience of specific landscape experiences through use of color, light, and sense of movement or stillness.
