She received her M.F.A. from Hunter College in Painting in 2009, and her B.A. from Skidmore College in Art and Mathematics in 2003. She has exhibited her work in solo and group exhibitions both nationally and internationally at Lake George Arts Project, Crossing Art Gallery, Denise Bibro Fine Art, G.V. Art London, and more. Artist Statement: My artwork is very physical, combining elements of painting and sculpture that are embedded into very textured landscapes. My work has a focus on nature, and is inspired by cycles of growth and decay. I am influenced by deterioration, devastation, and renewal. These perpetual cycles are a natural process, and in my work I attempt to find beauty in these harrowing experiences. I look for balance from the unbalanced, control from chaos, and light from darkness. The layered history is integral to each piece, revealing and concealing what came before.
